1. Keep fire and access routes clear at all times
   – also after working hours
2. Make sure that fire hydrants are visible and easily accessible
3. Make sure that fire doors are kept closed
4. Familiarise yourself with the nearest fire extinguisher
5. Make sure that gas cylinders are kept in the upright position and are collected at the end of the working day
6. Use an airtight and non-flammable container for oil and varnish cloths
7. Store litter and empty packaging in a safe location
8. Use only designated ashtrays for cigarette stubs
